2. Roxboro Sports Success Roxboro is a great school for sports. We play a lot of sports such as Gaelic Football, Soccer, Basketball, Athletics, Tennis, Swimming and Hurling. We have success in a lot of these sports. Last year in both girls and boys we got to the East Limerick Final in Gaelic football and won both divisions. Unfortunately we lost in both girls and boys in the county semi finals.

3. Basketball Last years boy’s basketball team got to the Semi Final. The girl’s basketball team last year got to the final. The Boy’s B Basketball Team had a great year as well. The Girl’s B Basketball Team had a very successful season.

4. Hurling Roxboro has always been known for its great hurling team. We made it to the East Limerick final and won the Jack Leahy Memorial Cup in 2010. We had a good mini sevens team and got second in the East Limerick in 2010.

5. Soccer Last years team lost the final in a narrow 3-2 loss. The year before they won Limerick and Munster. Then they went on to come second in the All Irelands.

6. Tennis Last year we got second in the Munster's. Three years ago we won the Munster’s which was fantastic. We hope to do well in this year’s competitions. There will be very tough competition to make the team this year.

7. Cross Country This year we did very well in the Cross Country Athletics. It was on in Rathkeale in very wet conditions. The girls won their division. The boys got second overall in their division.

8. Plassey Last year in Plassey it was a lovely day so it was good to run in. The boys did fantastic and won their division and got promoted to the A division. The girls were in a very tough A division. Unfortunately they were relegated. They hope to get up to the A division again this year.

9. Swimming We do non competitive swimming in our school. We go swimming in Bawnmore for eight weeks of training. They split us up into groups of ten. The best go to the deep end and beginners stay in the shallow end.

10. Gymnastics We have lots of talented gymnasts in our school. Every year some of the younger classes do a show for the parents and children. We have a lot of good equipment for our gymnasts.
