2. Make your pool visit safe at the beginning and the end by being careful on Camelot Drive. Remember that the speed limit is 25 MPH. In addition, there is a lot of pedestrian traffic – mostly kids and bicycle traffic – again mostly kids. 25 MPH is still probably too fast for a narrow street with lots of cars. Please keep your speed slow, 10-15 MPH is good. Remember - Safety First!

3. There have been a few complaints about people parking too close to driveways. This is TOO CLOSE to the driveway! Fairfax County Ordinance requires 10 feet on each side of the driveway. There should be about one car length between your car and the driveway. Only 2 feet between driveway and car!

4. GOOD! 10 feet between driveway and car! This is PERFECT! Fairfax County Ordinance requires 10 feet on each side of the driveway. There should be about one car length between your car and the driveway.

5. There have been a few instances of people parking in front of the fire hydrant. This is WRONG! Fairfax County Ordinance requires 15 feet on each side of a fire hydrant. There should be about one car length between your car and the fire hydrant. Blocking the fire hydrant!!

6. Note it is requested that Balin Court be for pedestrian traffic only. The ONLY exceptions are: 1.) Vehicles with valid handicapped placards, 2.) Emergency situations or 3.) When delivering large volume supplies to the pool (not people). Balin Court is for pedestrian traffic only.

7. We know that 10 feet is a lot of space. The neighbors understand this, but you could still be ticketed if authorities view your parking as not in compliance. At a minimum, please use a common sense approach. The bottom line is that they need room to safely see traffic, bikes and pedestrians, in both directions, and to safely exit and enter their driveways. So please use common sense. We all want to have good neighbors and to be good neighbors, so please be considerate and follow these basic rules: – One car length on each side of every driveway. – At least one car length on each side of the fire hydrant – We request that you not access Balin Court with vehicles. – Drive SLOW on Camelot Drive and Saxony. Also - remember that the lower parking lot is always open and it is an easy way to avoid any parking difficulties! Thank you for your time and assistance in this effort!!!!
