4 Germany invaded Poland- September 1, 1939 On September 1, 1939 Germany invaded Poland. Many bombs were dropped causing massive destruction to Warsaw and many other cities. This was a very traumatic event. My family and I took shelter in our neighbors basement to protect ourselves from the bombs. There were a lot of fatalities.

5 My Home- 1940 This was my street in the Warsaw ghetto in 1940. I was forced to leave my home in Lodz, Poland and move in to a small apartment with many people I did not know. We were forced to wear Jewish stars on all of our clothes.

6 Identification Papers Auschwitz Labor Camp On the left are my identification pictures stating that I am Jewish. These were looked at by Nazis to help ensure that all Jews were captured during the war. On the right is a picture of the entrance of Auschwitz Labor Camp. This is where I was taken and forced to work.

7 Ghetto Papers This is a picture of papers stating that my family and I had to go to the Warsaw ghetto. We received it in the mail from Nazi soldiers. We were told to bring any valuables that we could and a suitcase.
