10  Subject Teachers will ensure that all work is marked regularly, to provide feedback to help students  Subject Leaders will be looking at the work and progress of students throughout the year in their subject

11 TRACKING YEAR 10  Students’ progress will be tracked using our Assessment recording and reporting System.  Students will be formally assessed half-termly in all their subjects. This allows us to identify underachievement. If this occurs, we will address it instantly by inviting the student for an interview and parents/carers will be informed.

12  The purpose of the Year 10 mentoring scheme is to support the pastoral and academic development of identified students.  Identified students will be allocated to a mentor and parents/carers informed and updated on how they can also support their child.  In individual subjects, subject teachers will monitor performance against targets and will mentor as appropriate.  Parents will normally be informed when any intervention is put into place as the support of parents is key to the student’s success.
