We need a process that allows everyone to keep learning. We need to keep positive. We need to celebrate the wonderful students who behave all of the time. We need to support those who have trouble behaving. SWPBS is now called PBL.

We all have a right to learn every day We all opt in, all of the time We expect 100% engagement We SLANT We take control, have stamina, grit and use quickness We use our Habits of Discussion We show respect and use our manners We are safe, responsible, active learners We listen to and follow teacher directions

We all want everyone in every classroom learning every moment of every day.

If we do all these things, we don’t need to use levels or give poor choices.

There are 5 levels of consequences in both the classroom and playground. Consequences do not just go from one to five. They match the level of behaviour. The ODR is not the consequence. Consequences occur in student time (play). An ‘out of play’ means PBL in first break. A detention means PBL in second break with a plan.

When you get a consequence, you choose if things get better or worse A consequence is so everyone can keep learning. Levels 1, 2 and 3 consequences are your chance to turn your behaviour around, make good choices and get back to learning. Level 4 and 5 consequences are serious but you can still make better choices and turn it around.

Your behaviour will be tracked and at the end of term you will achieve an overall behaviour level of: Emerald Green Amber Red Crimson We want everyone to attain Emerald and Green level so we can celebrate GO GREEN!
