2 Psychologist Abraham Maslow felt everyone has a drive to reach their full potential. -To become Self-actualized -Before you can become self-actualized, you need to have your basic needs met. -To explain this process Maslow created the Hierarchy of Needs. pg.40

4 Summarize in your notes the levels of the hierarchy: -Physical Needs -Safety -Belonging -Esteem -Self-actualization

5 Section 2- Achieving Your Potential Follow up writing: 1. Maslow identified two types of esteem, approval of others and self-esteem. Maslow thought self-esteem was more important than the approval of others. Do you agree? Give some support to your answer.
