Behavior adaptations A nocturnal predator It is a “perch and pounce” predator :it pounces on its prey from the air

3 Habitat They live in west Texas and Mexico.
They live in forested mountains and canyons. They prefer old growth forests.

4 Diet The owls will eat wood rats, mice, voles, rabbits, gophers, bats, birds, reptiles, and arthropods (spiders). It is a carnivore.
