1 SEPTEMBER 29, 2014 Learning Goal: We will take a look at Conjunctive adverbs and subordinate clauses in order understand sentence structure. First: Turn in your scavenger hunt homework. Warm up: What would the perfect assignment or project look like? In paragraph form write about what you think. (Do not write “nothing would be the perfect assignment”) Supplies: pencil, and paper.

2 SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 Learning Goal: To recall and apply poetic devices and to explore poetic style. Warm up: Give an example of each of the following poetry terms: Rhyme scheme Alliteration Onomatopoeia Repetition End rhyme Homework and Reminders: Work on your Biography Poster!!!

4 OCTOBER 2, 2014 Learning Goal: To select a book for enjoyment at the library in order to expand your literary comprehension. Warm-up: Listen to Ms. Morrow’s reading of the introduction to The Maze Runner. Supplies: Keep all of your things packed so we can go to the library. Homework and Reminders: Work on your Biography Project! Due Monday!!

5 OCTOBER 3, 2014 Learning Goal: To comprehend conjunctive adverbs role to sentence structure. Warm up: Write about the library book you chose yesterday. Why did you choose this book? Have you started reading it yet? If so, how do you like it so far? If not why haven’t you started reading yet? Supplies: Pencil, paper, and your grammar notes from Monday Homework & Reminders: Don’t forget about the Biography Project! Be sure to include at least one 3D element!!!
