1.Has the ECTS allocation been realistic? 2.Remedial classes in ECTS system? 3.Mobility in B&H and abroad? 4.ECTS in the current system of school years? 5............... Questions after ECTS allocation

1.Realistic ECTS allocation? SECOND SEMESTER IDCourseLecturesExercisesLab.Exerc. Time needed Workload ECTS credits 1 Computer Systems Arhitecture 30 300801406 2 Essentials of Operative Systems 30 3060651857 3 Algoritms and data Structures 30 30301061968 4 Programing Essentials 603060742249 Total: 74530 1. Computer Systems Arhitecture(140 h – 6 credits)17,2 % 2. Essentials of Operative Systems(185 h – 7 credits)49,5 % 2. Essentials of Operative Systems (185 h – 7 credits)49,5 % 3. Algoritms and data Structures (196 h – 8 credits)45,8 % 4. Programing Essentials (224 h – 9 credits) 5,8 % Passing rate

-Such a poor passing rate at exams requires remedial classes. Do such classes fit into ECTS system? -Are they allocated credits? 2. Remedial ECTS classes?

-With no harmonized curricula among BH universities, is it possible to have student mobilities? -No coordination among BH professional areas/departments. -Is ECTS justified without mobility? 3. Harmonization of BH curricula Mobility?

-Besides lack of in-state and regional mobility, European/international level mobility is also difficult, mainly due to poor foreign language knowledge. -Also, our universities don’t offer enough courses in English/ some foreign language. -Is our aim one-way mobility? 4. Mobility at international level?

Conclusions First real experience in facing ECTS problem area have been gained through the University ECTS project We produced information packages that we don’t use

Results? No mobility. No curricula transparency. No curricula harmonization in BiH. How to really introduce ECTS?

Future activities? Smooth student mobilities within B&H, in the region and then in European/ international context will be only valid proof of succsseful work with ECTS This Tempus project can be a good starting point for real implementation and first mobilities (IT, English and Economy departments, as agreed before)

Thank you for your attention!
