1. 1. Go to www.glogster.com and click Log in or Sign up. Bonnie Addison 8/29/11

2. 2. Register. For “Last name,” use your favorite author’s last name. Scroll down, enter the code, click I Agree to the Terms of Use, & click Sign Up. Scroll down

3. 3. Click CREATE NEW GLOG.

4. 4. Make your virtual poster: Click on Wall & select a background. You can change colors & designs at any time. Click Use it!

5. 5. Use the magnetic toolbar to add GRAPHICS, TEXT, IMAGE, VIDEO, & SOUND to your Glog poster. To delete items, click on them, & click the pink trash can.

6. 6. Adding GRAPHICS: Select the GRAPHICS button on the toolbar & choose from hundreds of themed graphic and animated images. Drag and drop them where you need them. You can change the colors & positions of the graphics & add special effects.

7. 7. Adding TEXT: Select the TEXT button on the toolbar. This will open a box allowing you to choose a text frame. Drag and drop your text to the location you desire. Select Edit on the new toolbar that is found near the top of the frame. You will now be able to type in your text, change the font style & size, & use other special effects.

8. 8. Adding IMAGES: When you select IMAGE from the magnet toolbar, you can upload a picture saved on your computer. Glogster also allows you to link to online media using the Grab feature & will initialize the camera, audio, or video equipment on your computer to create new media. To position your image, drag it to the desired location. A new toolbar appears to add frames, colors, & special effects.

9. 9. Adding VIDEO & SOUND: Add video and sound in the same way as the other features. Select VIDEO or SOUND, & upload, link, or grab. Add special effects.

10. 10. Finishing Touches Preview your Glog before saving. Click Save & Publish – finished or unfinished. You can always come back & edit later. Name your Glog & select School for Category & Private for Settings. Click INVITE A FRIEND & invite baddison@wcpss.net to your Glog. baddison@wcpss.net I will link the pages to the Class Home Glog Page & upload them to Wikispaces.
