7  What is it? › LibraryThing is a social cataloging web application for storing and sharing personal library catalogs and book lists. › Based in Portland, Maine, LibraryThing was developed by Tim Spalding and went live on August 29, 2005. As of September 2009 it has 920,000 users and nearly 45 million books catalogued.  What does it do? › Keep track of books you own, you’ve read, you want to read › Catalog your books with information imported from over 680 libraries, including the Library of Congress, the British Library, and other renowned libraries. › Tag books (and use other’s tags)
