3 LRF Risk Assessment Group  The Civil Contingencies Act places a duty to carry out risk assessment on ALL Category 1 responders.

15 LRF Risk Assessment Group  Category 1 responders have a statutory duty to publish their risk assessments, with the aim of helping to reduce the impact of an emergency on the community.  Multi-agency co-operation in producing, publishing and maintaining a Community Risk Register is also a statutory duty.
