Raingrow Fulvic/Humic wheat trials atMoree NSW Australia www.raingrow.com

The trial area measured 19 x 7 meters on fully tillered wheat (see pics next slide). The wheat was of a uniform quality and well established roots into 1 meter of moisture. One meter row control areas immediately east and west of the trial area were harvested for comparison. East Trial #4 Trial #3 Trial #2 Trial #1 West

Marking out 4 different trial areas

Applying the Raingrow CellxCell growth stimulant

The 4 different applications Trial #1 received the recommended 3 liters/ha Of CellxCell and recommended 6 liters/ha of Mircrohumate Trial #1 received the recommended 3 liters/ha Of CellxCell and recommended 6 liters/ha of Mircrohumate Trial #2 received the recommended rate of Microhumate only Trial #2 received the recommended rate of Microhumate only Trial #3 received half the recommended rate of Cellxcell and half the recommended rate of Microhumate Trial #3 received half the recommended rate of Cellxcell and half the recommended rate of Microhumate Trial #4 received half the recommended Microhumate only Trial #4 received half the recommended Microhumate only All areas received a second application of CellxCell (only) @ 3l/ha at 5/9/07 All areas received a second application of CellxCell (only) @ 3l/ha at 5/9/07

Approx 8 – 10 days before harvest the wheat trials and controls were sampled. There was little or no VISIBLE difference between the trials seen here on the left and the control areas seen here on the right. One meter rows were cut at ground level to so the total plant material could be compared and weighed. 9/10/07 Trial mark

The first comparison was between 2 heads taken at random from Trial #1 and the West control

The Raingrow stimulated grains were not as ripe, larger in size and there were double the number of grains despite the similar looking heads (52 vs 26) (not all the grains are shown here)

Root mass sample comparison between treated (Trial area #1 left) and West control area (right)

The 4 trials and 2 controls were harvested at ground level and then bagged. It was not until this point that the WEIGHT differences could be felt. Light weight uniform bags were used to minimize weighing errors

The best result was from Trial #3 (half rates of CellxCell and Microhumate) West control weight = 149 grams Trial 1 = 246 grams Trial 2 = 233 grams Trial 3 = 265 grams Trial 4 = 237 grams East control weight = 177 grams

After the heads were weighed the best trial and the best control were dried (to 14%), threshed and weighed again.

The samples both looked similar apart from quantity

So despite very little visible difference in the early stages the final samples showed a 56% yield by weight improvement between the best trial and the best control.

Finally Trial #3 and the East control were tested for protein. Trial #3 was 16.5% and East control was higher at 17.8%. (These results may be a function of delayed ripening in the trials.) Raingrow is continuing a series of extensive trials in broad acre crops in various states of Australia. The company anticipates being able to demonstrate a significant increase in carbon sequestration over untreated soils to the extent that carbon payments alone my cover the cost of the Fulvic/Humic application. Raingrow intends to monitor the long term cumulative increase in soil fertility in trial areas. Raingrow invites enquiries from any commercial entity. 16 Commercial Implications Costs and Assumptions – Assume wheat yield of 2.0 mt/ha Assume wheat price $300/mt Assume Cellxcell cost of $15/litre and recommended rate of 3l/ha per application Assume Microhumate cost of $10/l and recommended rate of 6l/ha Total costs per ha vs return – Assuming 3 applications of CxC @ $15/litre and 3 litres/application = $135 Assuming 2 application of Microhumate @ $10 x 6 liters = $120 Total cost of inputs/ha = $255 Assuming a yield increase of only 33% then.3 x 2mt x $300 = $200 Given best results were Trial #3, - then input costs were 1 st Cxc ($23) + 1 st Mhumate ($30) + 2 nd CxC ($45) Total= $98 representing (an approx) 200% return on investment.
