Reading Results District-wide (Achievement Levels): 40% of students scored proficient or higher as compared to 37% in 2006. 29% of students scored substantially below proficient in reading in 2007, the same as in 2006. A trend demonstrating an increase in percent proficient across a three-year period has emerged.

Reading Results Grade-level (Achievement Levels): Percent proficient ranged from 36% (gr. 6) to 43% (gr. 5) Percent substantially below proficient ranged from 22% (gr. 5) to 31% (gr. 4, 8) Grades 5, 7 & 8: –Trend - more students proficient –Trend - fewer students substantially below proficient Grade 3-5 Grade 6-8
