5 Where: Navy, Naval Reactors (Bettis, KAPL, and others), other branches Jobs: Reactor Operator, Instructor, Designer Education: ranges from High School diploma to PhD Government/Military

There’s a need for people!  The demand exceeds the supply of graduates trained in nuclear science and technology.  Many nuclear professionals are retiring Nuclear Engineers have the 2 nd highest median income among the engineering professions at $99,920/year. (US Bureau of Labor Statistics, bls.gov, May 2010) Health Physicists have nearly as high a median salary, $96,250/year (Health Physics Society, 2012)
