2 Client 1  Well dressed working couple, mid-twenties to thirties both wearing coloured business suits.  They have two children in national school.  Live in suburbs in semi de- thatched two storey circa 2000.  Design a Display Cabinet to suit their sitting room. 2 J. Byrne 2014

3 Client 1 : Questions to ask  Dress style: trendy, like colour, open to suggestions.  Function: what will be on display.  Unit may need to be lockable.  Describe/ show photo of existing room style.  Likes /dislikes.  Preferences.  Budget.  Timeframe. 3 J. Byrne 2014

4 Client 2  Work station for teenage boy.  Position: will be in Boy’s bedroom.  Client 2 : Questions to ask  Age of Boy  Function: Gaming or studying?  Take him through College years?  Describe/ show photo of existing room style.  Likes /dislikes.  Preferences.  Budget.  Timeframe. 4 J. 5 Client 3  Male Professor late fifties has a study in his house.  Artefact: A bespoke desk made in the Chippendale style. 5 J. Byrne 2014

6 Client 3 : Questions to ask  Establish exactly which Chippendale style.  Built using all solid wood or veneered manufacture board.  Function: work/ relaxing or studying?  Needs; Computer, laptop file drawer, lockable drawers?  Describe/ show photo of existing room style.  Likes /dislikes.  Preferences.  Budget.  Timeframe. 6 J. 7 Client 4  Julie a woman in her thirties is very house proud.  Artefact  Would like a dresser for my kitchen. Existing kitchen is in oak shaker style. Available space is 1600mm. 7 J. Byrne 2014

8 Client 5  Zach and Sarah, couple in their mid forties.  Artefact  We would like a love seat for our conservatory must match existing Mexican style pine furniture. 8 J. Byrne 2014
