GEO European Project Workshop, 3-4 September 2008 16 Conclusions JRC contribution to GEOSS is increasing as well as the number of Units directly involved in GEO Tasks Some FP7 projects are particularly important - to foster cross-thematic integration (e.g. EuroGEOSS) - to identify and address interoperability problem (e.g. GIGAS) - to improve earth observation capacities (e.g. EBONE) - to design new infrastructures and capacity building (e.g. AEGOS) - to provide access to environmental information (e.g. e-SOTER).. EU Best Practices and Specifications can be offered to support the development of GEOSS Synchronization, exploitation of synergies and expressing EU requirements and interests remain key challenges for JRC
