7 Child Care Aware Provides Technical Assistance and Support Licensed Pathway – Licensed site with fewer than 75% Head Start and/or ECEAP slots Level 2 Rated Level 3, 4, or 5 Head Start/ECEAP Pathway – Site with 75% or more Head Start and/or ECEAP slots Grantee/Contractor Provides Technical Assistance and Support Rated Level 4 or 5 Level 3

8 Funds are per site, one time only Application for Level 3 triggers payment being mailed Funds may be used to prepare sites for rating Grantee/Contractor Technical Assistance Stipend $1500 Funds are per site on the Head Start/ECEAP Pathway Site must be rated Level 4 or 5 Funds may be used for continuous quality improvement Head Start/ECEAP Rated Participation Stipend $3500 Staff may apply for scholarships through Child Care Aware (must be working at a rated site) Staff may apply for opportunity grants through community colleges Scholarships and Opportunity Grants Stipends and Incentives

9 History of I/T Consultation  National concern around quality of child care for Infants and Toddlers  Partners: Thrive by Five, Health Dept., ESIT, DEL, Early Learning Coalitions  Infant/Toddler consultation was created as a multi-disciplinary model in 2010.  Infant/Toddler consultation became integrated with Early Achievers in 2014.

11 Filming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND) Model  One social, emotional, behavioral consultation model is being developed to use across regions  Pilot phase with statewide roll out during 2015-2016  Partners  Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University  University of Oregon  Oregon Social Learning Center  Children’s Home Society

12 Referral Pathways Regional Partners and Early Achievers Staff recruit and refer providers most in need* through three different pathways to infant/toddler consultation services. Pathway 1 Refer Before Rating: Recruit and/or refer providers once enrolled in Early Achievers but not yet rated Pathway 2 After Rating: Provide infant/toddler consultation services after rating if center or home is under threshold in ITERS or Toddler CLASS Pathway 3 After Rating of Level 3: Allow Early Achievers coaches to access specialized infant/toddler consultation services for a specific, short-term, identified need.
