2. Living in the End Times  2Ti. 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

They will say, “Where is this `coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”  1Jn. 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.

4. Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  Ro. 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.

For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man `unclean’.”

Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  2) Self-Control  1Pe. 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.  1Pe. 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.  1Pe. 5:8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

7. Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  3) Slaves of Righteousness  Ro. 6:19b Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.

Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  4) People of Prayer  Ro. 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Ep. 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  Col. 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  5) People of Great faith  1Th. 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.  1Ti. 4:12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  6) People in the Word of God  Mk. 12:24 “Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?  Ac. 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Distinguishing Features of Christians in the end times.  7) Worshippers in Spirit and Truth  Jn. 4:23-24 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
