1The Life That Stands Through A Storm Matthew 7:24-27Matt 7:24-27"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."

3The Wise Man Built His House on a Rock (7:24) The rock provided a solid foundationFoundations are critical because they are an absolute necessity for ensuring stability and resistance. The solution to building a good foundation on your own is to become a detective and go in search of the information you need to clearly understand. The goal of your detective work should be to develop a clear, in-depth understanding that defines success.Matt 7:24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock
4The Wise Man Built His House on a Rock (7:24) The rock provided a solid foundationThe Lord is our rock (Ps. 28:1)He is our only sure rock (Ps. 62:2, 6-7)Christ is our firm foundationNo other foundation will stand (1st Cor. 3:11)This foundation is secure (2nd Tim 2:19)2 Tim 2:19Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, " The Lord knows those who are His," and, " Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."1 Cor 3:1111 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.Ps 28:1To You, O LORD, I call;My rock, do not be deaf to me,For if You are silent to me,I will become like those who go down to the pit.Ps 62:2He only is my rock and my salvation,My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shakenPs 62:6-76 He only is my rock and my salvation,My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.7 On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God

But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.Matt 6:2424 " No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.2 Tim 3:1-43:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
