2 OSW situation in NL 2 windfarms, total 228 MW Q10 test area (150 MW) and Gemini (600 MW) coming up In 2010 € 1 billion turnover, 150 companies, 2.200 jobs North Sea good OSW site, low depths and strong wind Specialties: construction, O&M, design, research, consultancy Weaknesses: lack of manufacturing and shortage of technical staff Aim was 6 GW in 2020

4 OSW situation in Groningen Eemshaven main harbour, well situated OSW activity for German OSW farms, OBT (Buss) and probably construction of Gemini Study how to deal with all cables through the Wadden Sea Energy Valley area: E-cademy, Noorderpoort College BZEE standard for wind technicians NNOW: cluster of 80 SME’s in North of the Netherlands
