3. Examples Subtracting 5 - 2 = ? This is the same as what Addition Problem? 5 + (-2)

4. - 4 - 1 = ? This is the same as what addition problem? -4 + -1 Subtracting a positive moved us …… Left so subtracting a negative moves us …. RIGHT

5. 3 – (-2)= ? ( if taking off negative we are adding on!!) change to 3 + 2

6. - 7 – (-2) -7 + 2 = Change All Subtraction problems to addition!!!

7. Try it Change to addition problems then solve 6 – 13 -5 – (-9) 7 – (-12) -8 – 4 -3 – (-2)
