5 THE PROGRAMME The NVQ Level II consists of six units; five mandatory plus one optional. Delivery is flexible and can be tailored to individual company requirements in order to fit in with the candidates work patterns. Mandatory Units Statutory Regulations Effective Team Working Workplace Organisation Continuous Improvement Techniques Visual Management Systems Optional Unit The recommended optional unit for NVQ Level II is; Problem Solving Techniques

6 WHO IS THE PROGRAMME FOR The programme is for those working in a manufacturing business to undertake improvements aimed at reducing cost, minimising waste and improving productivity. The programme follows a learning engine that ensures all candidates know why they are there, what is expected of them and supports their activities in the workplace. B-IT NVQ Level II is directly applicable to individuals who: require a core knowledge of business improvement techniques. have some background knowledge and wish to gain experience of applying these techniques within a team are already using business improvement techniques and would like to gain a recognised qualification to demonstrate their competence
