2 5 Distinguishing Characteristics of Role Model -shy Contribution to his/her success-Sir Isaac Newton's greatest contribution to science was the discovery of the nature of gravity, laws of motion and the reflecting microscope. His most recognized work was the force of gravity. He discovered this when observing the falling of an apple from its tree. Short comings or flaws-He did not publicize his methods of fluxion. Newton had already described some of his mathematical discoveries to Leibniz, not including his method of fluxions. In 1684 Leibniz published his first paper on calculus; a small group of mathematicians took up his ideas. 3 Most important things that will help me in the digital world -Knowledge of the digital world -Great ideas about what you can use your knowledge from. -A partner that also have a lot of knowledge of the digital world. 3  1. Shy- Sir Isaac Newton is a very shy, quiet boy growing on a farm in England 300 years ago. He was not a very good student and he doesn’t get much attention from anyone during the time.

4  2. Smart- Sir Isaac Newton has a very big scientific curiosity. He discovered 3 very important laws of motion. Every reaction causes an equal and opposite reaction(third law), and also an object at rest tends to stay at rest, while an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an external force (inertia) (first law), The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to, and in the same direction as, the net force acting on the body, and inversely proportional to its mass. Thus, F = ma, where F is the net force acting on the object, m is the mass of the object and a is the acceleration of the object (second law).

6  3. Very curious- one day Isaac Newton was sitting under an apple tree. And an apple fell on his head. While other people will just think an apple just fell on their head, Isaac Newton asked why, why did the apple fell on my head, why did it fell in the first place, what makes it fall on the ground. This is where his theory about gravity first came on his mind, he studied what makes things fall on the ground and came with something called “the law of gravity”

7  4.Brave- When Isaac Newton was in school, a bully punched him in the stomach. Isaac Newton fell on the ground and stood back and fought the bully and won. As he knows that he can fight better than the bully, he studied and studied. And then he knew that he is stronger and smarter than the bully.
