4 Detention Facilities Dire need of construction of new detention facilities Need to address overcrowding, Transport of inmates is burdensome Lack resources to hire and operate facilities Tribes in Nevada – look into the construction of a regional facility

5 Law Enforcement Increase law enforcement staff –Address quicker response times 638 contract – Criminal Investigators Improve BIA radio systems Address border-related crime

6 BIA Recommendations Any changes of the BIA should not undercut the BIA budget. Conduct assessment and evaluation of recent re-organization Focus on developing data infrastructure and management that is inline with tribal priorities and GPRA/PART measures Re-focus initiative at regional level
