2. Mass Mystery The door burst open, leaves swirled around the passage. Distant screams could be heard, as the misty night grew darker and colder. Sam, Kirsty and Bob the floppy eared dog stood stiffly cold outside the passageway. Out of the corner of her eye, Sam saw a shady, black mass moving slowly around the wall of the house. Sam felt her knees tremble with fear. “Kirsty, there’s something freaking me out over there. I’ve just seen a shadowy figure!” Suddenly, the mass struck again!

3. Sam and Kirsty were curious about the house. They went inside. Kirsty felt her pockets and she pulled out her Harry Potter book. “Well then this is useless “she said. But just then a gust of wind pulled the book open. Kirsty looked at it with suspicion and then she had it. “I know we can use magic to trap whatever it is”. “That’s ridiculous” said Sam. “I suppose you’re right Sam. So have you got a plan?” asked Kirsty. “I was wondering when you were going to ask.” said Sam. “What is it?” asked Kirsty? “Just get me a bed sheet and the longest curtain you can find.” Kirsty, with a puzzled look on her face obeyed and was back in a few minutes with what Sam had asked for. “What are we doing with these?” she asked.

4. “I’m just about to tell you.” she said. “We’re going to blind the mass then trip it up.” “With these?” said Kirsty. “Yes, with these” said Sam. “We’ll blind it with the sheet and trip with the curtain” she said. “Aaahhhh! So, Bob will drop the sheet on it and we’ll trip it up” So, that’s what they did. Sam saw it had a mask on and she whipped it off. It was mum! Then they heard a scary “Oooooo”. They all screamed “Aaaaah!”
