4. Second Grade Emergencies There can be a lot of emergencies in second grade. Be prepared!!! First, you will need a journal for your morning work. Don’t forget extra pencils in case your pencil gets dull from all of the writing we do in second grade. You should have an extra pencil sharpener, because the classroom pencil sharpener is always broken! Get an extra eraser, in case you take a long test and make lots of mistakes. Don’t forget to have both liquid glue and glue sticks, in case of an emergency art project. Have some tools handy, in case your desk falls apart. Also, have a substitute teacher ready, in case your teacher faints from too many disruptions from bad students. Finally, if the power goes out, you should have a flashlight in your desk.
