10 Before we go any further: costs Through grant funding LaunchPath is free to use until 7/1/2016. What happens after July 1, 2016? Scenario 1: Foundation finds additional underwriting and use is free Scenario 2: CCCCO decides to include as a statewide service Scenario 3: Foundation charges a fee for colleges, schools and/or employers to use LaunchPath How much?

Before the Internship: Secure institutional support for work-based learning Design quality internship experiences Address legal concerns During the Internship: Manage interns After the Internship: Assess impact and improvements

13 Assumptions at the beginning of LaunchPath If: The California Career Pathway Trust and WIOA would generate significant supply of students and youth seeking work based learning; and, Employers in key sectors are suffering from a lack of qualified workers, and work based learning is solution to building their pipeline; and, Regions are how labor markets operate and how funding is being allocated, Then: A regional platform connecting employers with those seeking work based learning will provide great value to many partners.
