 The purpose of this interactive program is to inform and explain the main topics that were covered throughout the year dealing with design programs. Most of the content covered in to the slides and topics will be on the evaluation at the end of the presentation.

 At the completion of this guide you should be able to, talk about the different design programs that were created by Adobe. Also you will be able to talk about the design programs that are created by Autodesk. You will have the knowledge of what each program can do and who uses each program. You will also know and understand the design process.

This is your main screen for the Adobe programs, when you click the loop at the bottom of any pages you will taken back to this page. Click the the buttons above to advance to their information. Advance to more design programs

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Adobe InDesign? What is Adobe InDesign?  How does InDesign work? How does InDesign work?  Who uses InDesign? Who uses InDesign?

 Adobe InDesign is a program design to allow you to manipulate the page you are working on with text, images, graphs, and charts.

 It works by giving you multiple ways of adjusting text and images to look exactly how you need them whether it is by adding a fade, a glow, or a even a shadow.  It is a typography program which allows you to manipulate the text in all sorts of ways such astypography ◦ Wrapping around an image ◦ Indenting ◦ Spacing between letters ◦ Tilting of letters and words

 InDesign is used by companies that prepare books, magazines covers and articles inside.  Graphic companies that add graphics to books, magazines, and newspaper articles.

 TYPOGRAPHY is the art or process of setting and arranging types and printing from them.

 What is Adobe Photoshop? What is Adobe Photoshop?  How does Photoshop work? How does Photoshop work?  Who uses Photoshop? Who uses Photoshop? Click the question of the answer you are looking for.

 Photoshop is used to create images by mixing multiple layers of images  You can also Digital Paint an image in PhotoshopDigital Paint

 Digital Painting is painting an image on a computer canvas using different brush styles to make it look as realistic as possible.

 It has many different ways that you can manipulate an image such as: ◦ Opacity ◦ Shadow ◦ Crop  It works by each new section you create adds a new layer in Photoshop which then can be manipulated by different methods such as ◦ Filters ex: Cloud effect, Neon, Fire, Wind, Twirl, etc.

 Photoshop is used by many different people and companies in the wed area, graphic design, and animation.  It is used by so many different groups of people because it gives them the people so many different options to make the images look better and more realistic.  The entertainment industry

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Adobe Dreamweaver? What is Adobe Dreamweaver?  How does Dreamweaver work? How does Dreamweaver work?  Who uses Dreamweaver? Who uses Dreamweaver?

 Dreamweaver helps create a website and or help develop a website to be better.  It walks you through the code and design part of the site.code

 Code is the language that is used to write a website.  There are many different languages such as ◦ HTML ◦ xHTML ◦ PHP ◦ CSS

 It works by when you begin to type the code into the site it brings up a pop up menu that shows you what code would work for what you are typing.  You can also work in a split screen where it will show you exactly what is happening to your site while you are typing.

 Dreamweaver is used by the people who need help developing websites or finding out certain codes if they need them to create their own website.

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Adobe Flash? What is Adobe Flash?  How does Flash work? How does Flash work?  Who uses Adobe Flash? Who uses Adobe Flash?

 Flash creates interactive animated movies  It can be used a program to help create different animations such as ◦ Picture animation ◦ Sketch animation ◦ Paint animation

 Flash works by using different forms of key frames to insert an image and then create a motion path to create a flow for the movie.  Also to certain images you can add joints and bones to the image to give you full control of what parts you want to move ◦ Works best with sketches created by the creator

 Flash is used by the people creating small animated movie clips or interactive shows to help make a point.  The program has many different animations already created that will help the user create a great movie.

This is your main screen for the other design programs, when you click the loop at the bottom of any page you will taken back to this page. Back to Adobe design programs Click the the buttons above to advance to their information. Advance to Flow Chart and Quiz

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Autodesk Inventor? What is Autodesk Inventor?  How does Autodesk Inventor work? How does Autodesk Inventor work?  Who uses Autodesk Inventor? Who uses Autodesk Inventor?

 Inventor is used to create 3D images for anything. It creates parts that are able to be exported and sent to a 3D printer so you can have a prototype.

 Inventor works by creating a sketch from nothing or from certain specs that are given to you.  You can then manipulate the sketch in two ways ◦ Extrude ◦ Revolve  They have many ways of manipulating the 3D image such as adding a fillet, chamfer, or a hole.

 Inventor is used by many different engineers such as ◦ Mechanical ◦ Civil ◦ Construction

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Rapidworks? What is Rapidworks?  How does Rapidworks work? How does Rapidworks work?  Who uses Rapidworks? Who uses Rapidworks?

 Rapidworks takes a 3D scan of a item and allows you to add modifications and test the stress level of your product to make sure that it works and is sturdy.

 It works by using different lines to create a new shape you need around the scanned object you have so that you can modify it.

 The people that use Rapidworks are the people who work on making modifications of old products to make them new and more effective.

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Catia? What is Catia?  How does Catia work? How does Catia work?  Who uses Catia? Who uses Catia?

 Catia allows you to create a 3D object that can be used in the assembly of something.

 Catia works similar to Inventor you create a sketch and then make it a 3D image.  It then allows you to create an assembly of as many parts as needed to get the object you want.

 Catia is used by people who are in development for parts that need assembling.

Click the question of the answer you are looking for.  What is Autodesk Revit? What is Autodesk Revit?  How does Autodeks Revit work? How does Autodeks Revit work?  Who uses Autodesk Revit? Who uses Autodesk Revit?

 Revit is a 3D design software that allows for 3D rendering of designed and constructed buildings.rendering

 You draw in a 2D mode that allows you to look down on your drawing when you render a sketch it creates your sketch into a 3D model.

 Rendering takes a 2D sketch and creates it into a 3D image that gives you a full view of an image.

 Revit is used by architectural engineers.  Building construction companies.  Housing corporations.
