6. © B ARTBERG Hotelbetriebs- und Beratungs Ges.m.b.H. 3013 Pressbaum, Grenzgasse 15 Answer from the European Union: The voluntary CMC qualification is neither a legal qualification by the European Committee for Norms (CEN – Conseille Européenne des Normes) nor an international norm by the International Organisation of Norms (ISO). Such voluntary Standards are – if recognised by all EU member countries – essential for the market – specially for bodies like public administrations and governmental organisations. The commission does not have enough information concerning the EU Consultant to decide if the level for this qualification is higher or lower than for the CMC. The commission will discuss the question of the qualifications CMC and EU-Consultant with the responsible committee of standards to develop a European standard valid EU wide one voluntary basis. “EU consultant” in the Eastern European countries
