LEAPING OVER WALLS PSALMS 18:27-30

We have all heard or uttered statements like: “I came up against a wall and couldn’t go any further.” “We have several walls to hurdle before this will work.” There are several different kinds of walls: Mental WallsSpiritual WallsLiteral Walls Psalms 18:29 For by You I can run against a troop, And by my God I can leap over a wall. Are there are walls in your life that need jumping? There are many walls before us that must be jumped if we are to succeed in the Christian life. This verse tells us of God’s Help In Difficult Times

Some Walls We Must Leap Doubt Doubt hinders progress.Shows a lack of faith. Genesis 18:14 “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Trouble Job 14:1 Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. There are many challenges to be faced. The key is to “leap” them. Distress This a reaction to external conditions. II Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

II Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Negative thinking We will do only what we think we can. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” Fear This has killed many good works in the church and life Fear originates with us, not with God.

Procrastination This is a popular attitude of our day. It keeps us from doing what we should. II Corinthians 6:2 Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Matthew 6:33-34 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Worry This saps us of power and courage. Hebrews 3 emphasizes “TODAY”

How To Leap Over Walls Trust in the power of God. Psalms 18:2, 29-30 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; For by You I can run against a troop, And by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Have “mustard seed” faith. Matthew 17:20 “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. This is an action faith that works. We need run toward the wall and trust God to make a way. Pray James 5:16 The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. There is great power in prayer! Prayer will change the night to day.

Do something positive. Talking and day-dreaming will not get the job done. James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ask for help. One the greatest blessing we have is being a member of the Lord’s church. More than likely, someone has had the same problems you are having.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching. Galatians 6:2, 9-10 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Don’t quit Satan will try to discourage us. With God’s help we will be able to leap any wall Satan tries to block us with.

I Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. Matthew 10:22 "And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Revelation 2:10 Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. I Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Are There Walls We Need To Leap As A Congregation? Yes Are There Walls You Need To Leap As A Christian? Don’t Let Satan Stop With A WallLeap Over It! IS THERE A WALL BETWEEN YOU AND GOD? BETWEEN YOU AND SALVATION?
