What It Means to be a Christian

Ephesians 2:4-8 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Titus 3:3-7 3 For we ourselves were also ones foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward men appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 Whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our savior, 7. That having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things had passed away; behold, all things had become new. Galatians 2:20 20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 4: 4-7 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 To redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba”, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then and heir God through Christ. Colossians 3:5-10 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness fashion, evil desire and covetousness, which is idolatry, 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 In which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you had put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 11 For I know the thought that I think towards you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of affliction, to give you an end and patience. 12 and you shall call upon me, and you shall go: and you shall pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You shall seek me, and shall And me: when you shall seek me with all your heart.

Luke 12:22-31 22 Then hi said to his disciples, “Therefore I say to you do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. “ 23 “ life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.” 24 “consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap which have neither store house now barn; and Gods feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the bird?” 25 “and which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” 26 “if you then are not able to do the least why are you anxious for the rest?” 27 “consider the lilies how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed by like one of these. 28 “if then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of your faith? 29 “and do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink nor have an anxious mind. 30 “for all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your father knows need these things 31 “but seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.

Philippians 3:14 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus Philippians 3:20 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the savior the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:5-6 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
