1 5 Themes Of Geography: Colorado Victoria Stehm 2 nd hour

2  Colorado’s longitude is 120 degrees west to 109 degrees west.  Latitude is 37 degrees north to 41 degrees north.  The borders for Colorado are Wyoming and Nebraska to the north, New Mexico and Oklahoma to the south, and Nebraska and Kansas about east.  The southwest corner of Colorado meets up with Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. This is called the 4 corners. Location These are examples because location is where things are on the map. I used latitude and longitude to determine where Colorado was, and the 4 corner states of Colorado.

3  The major rivers of Colorado is the Colorado River, Rio Grande, Arkansas River, and the South Platte River.  They are home to the largest suspension bridge (Royal Gorge Bridge) near Canon City. Place These are both Places because many people know Colorado for the bridge and the rivers. 4  By building their homes on the flat lands, it gives them a strong base and they didn’t have to adapt to any change of latitude.  Colorado also put in Hoover Dam, that was another way of making power for people, and using their resources. Human Environment Interaction Human Environment Interaction helps people make relationships linking to the environment, like the Hoover Dam for example. This helps create power for people while they use resources at the same time. http://theskimonster.com/files/theskimonster/ckfinder/images/kenichi-aspen-colorado-7.jpg
