2 Kangwon National University(KNU) is one of the 10 flagship universities in the Republic of Korea, which is located in Chuncheon, the capital city of Gangwon Province. From our modest beginnings in 1947, back when we were still known as the Chuncheon Provincial Agricultural College, KNU has developed into a preeminent research university with 20 colleges, 126 majors, including a medical school and a law school. 3 2012 KNU International Summer Program 3 International Summer Program KNU International Summer Program, which is taught and run in English, offers life-long experiences for undergraduate students who want to learn about Korea by taking short-term courses and staying in Korea for 2 weeks. This program is open to students from partner universities who wish to study in Korea but are unable to do so during the regular academic year. In overall, the program consists of various cultural activities and lectures on Korean issues such as economics, politics, history, culture and business. During the program, diverse participating students from different countries are provided with opportunities to experience real Korean lifestyle, both traditional and modern culture from our special programs such as Home Visiting.
