BTOP= Broadband Technology Opportunities Program Underserved area for broadband (high speed internet). BTOP federal grant: community classes, teacher courses, netbooks, Microsoft 2010, The Cloud, and more!

Treat the equipment, others, and yourself with respect. Using this netbook is a privilege, not a right. Exercise your battery to increase battery life. Be gentle! Placing things on top of the netbooks, carrying it by the battery, or picking it up by the screen can cause damage. Shut down correctly.

Allow others in your home to use the netbook educationally. Anticipate traffic tripping on cords. Wrap cords loosely (too tight can break wires). Have separate area for food and liquids.

Report any problems to district tech staff immediately with a tech ticket in the office (be very specific). 3 year warranty including accidental breakage until December 2013. Return it to school or ISD personnel prior to graduation or leaving the district. Failure to do so may result in the anti-theft software being engaged and a report to the police.

SERVICE TAG(S/N): 1ABC2D1

Protect yourself online! Think about what you are posting. Nothing is completely private when you write it online. Colleges/universities and employers are looking. Respect others online: keep it appropriate. Delete unknown e-mails with attachments. Phone numbers, addresses, videos, travel plans, real names, etc. should be kept private.

1.Prevent it. Do NOT post in anger or frustration. It is not entertainment. Think about what you are posting. 2.Take action.  Ignore or block it. Don’t respond.  Put a stop to it! Report bullying behavior to a trusted adult, school, police, ISP, cell phone service, or host site (Facebook, YouTube, etc.).  Don’t spread it to others.
