2 Who invented stained glass? How did they get the idea? Before recorded history, man learned to make glass and color it by adding metallic salts and oxides. An ancient Rome priest thought of stained glass for his church.

3 What are the steps to making stained glass? Ingredients? To be able to color the glass, certain powered metals are added to the mixture while the glass is still molten. The ingredients to make stained glass are,art glass, clear architectural glass,medium glass nuggets,large glass nuggets,etc.

4 Why,How is it connected to the church? In Europe, the art of stained glass reached it’s height between 1150 and 1500,when magnificent windows were created for great cathedrals.

5 How does the glass form shapes and images? A windows pictorial image is created by arranging the different pieces of colored glass over the design drawn on a piece of board.

6 How is the glass connected to history? Stained glass began to be regarded as an art form. Church Christians began.

7 When was stained glass invented? Stained glass was invented in the first century A.D.
