3 Objectives Increase the profile of the mineralogical and geochemical sciences among the geosciences Provide a medium for interacting with the broader geoscience, material sciences and chemistry communities Shape the image and activities of the mineralogical and geochemical disciplines Increase the interaction among the societies

4 International Magazine of Mineralogy, Geochemistry, and Petrology A high-quality colour magazine Published 4 times a year initially, then 6 48 pages per issue Based on the concept of thematic issues Sent to members of participating societies Name still to be found

5 Thematic issues Built around major topics of broad and current interest Provide the reader with a broad overview of the field Introduce the prominent and active members in the field
