1. The battle of Lexington and Concord
The battle of Lexington and Concord started the Revolutionary War. It was fought in Massachusetts, in April 19, It started when 400 British troops were given the order to capture and destroy Colonists’ muskets and swords. They went to Lexington and were met by 77 angry Colonists. No one knows who fired the first shot. Personally, I think that the Rebels fired the first shot.

2. Lexington
As the Red Coats advanced, 40 to 100 Militia watched them march down the road. The Red Coats were supposed to go to Concord but rather than turning left to Concord they went to Lexington and were met by some militia. Either someone from the British or the Rebels fired. No one knows.

3. The first shot
No one knows who fired the first shot of the Revolutionary War. One eye witness said that a British general fired the first shot. A British eye witness said that he saw an angry Colonist fired. A civilian said that a tavern owner fired into the air. Whoever fired the first shot no one knows. To this very day no one knows who fired the first shot.

4. Concord
After fighting in Lexington the Red Coats marched to Concord to find weapons to destroy. In Concord they found weapons and burned them. Rebels saw the fires in the distance. They thought that they were burning their homes. The British were leaving Concord on the north bridge when they were ambushed by 400 angry Rebels. The colonists beat the Red Coats and were surprised by their success.

5. Frances Smith
Frances Smith was the British commander of the battle of Lexington and Concord. Before the battle he was ordered to send Red Coats to find and destroy Colonists’ weapons.

6. John Parker
John Parker was the captain of the Militia in the Battle of Lexington and Concord. He died fighting in Lexington.
