Can You Be Trusted Alone With God?

There are many things that we just will not do in front of people whether it is because they are embarrassing or personal. We just cannot bear to allow others to see us do them. Sin is the same way. There are things, awful things, we will do in the sight of God alone that we would never do in front of another human being. That is the topic of our discussion this evening. Introduction

Secret Sins Are Shameful And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. Eph 5:11-12 For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. Prov 3:32

We Are Never Alone … and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matt 28:19-20 You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. Ps 90:8 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matt 6:6

We Can Not Hide From God Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?" says the Lord; "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the Lord. Jer 23:24

We Cannot Hide From God Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. Ps 139:7-12

Secret Sins Will Be Brought Into The Light For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. Mark 4:22 For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17

All Deeds Will Be Judged For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil. Eccl 12:14

Our Secret Sins Can Be Removed Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. Ps 19:12-13

Our Secret Sins Can Be Removed And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. 2 Sam 11:2 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against YHWH. And Nathan said unto David, YHWH also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. 2 Sam 12:13

Our Secret Sins Can Be Removed Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. Ps 19:12-13 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

CONCLUSION And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God. And such were some of you: but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:11
