The California Standards Tests (CST) give students an opportunity to show how much they have achieved California content standards in English-Language arts, mathematics, science, and history-social science (for grades two through eleven). The Standards-based Tests in Spanish (STS) measures the achievement of California content standards in reading-language arts and mathematics in Spanish. This assessment is for Spanish- speaking English learners. All questions on the California Standards Test are evaluated by committees of content experts, including teachers and administrators, to ensure their appropriateness for measuring the California academic content standards.
