4 + National School Lunch Program 101,000 public and non profit private schools and residential child care institutions. 31 million children are fed each school day. In 1998, after school snacks were added to children participating in after school activities. 50% of students in after school activities qualify. MISSION STATEMENT: The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal program operating in public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. It provides nutritionally balanced, low- cost or free lunches to children each school day USDA( U.S. Department of Agriculture) funds program. Food and Nutrition Services. Students must apply through school.

5 + National School Lunch Program QUALIFICATIONS: Children with family incomes below 130% of the poverty level = FREE Family incomes 130-185% of poverty line= Reduced Lunches $0.40 Must serve lunches that meet Federal requirements -30% of calories from fat and less 10% saturated fat -One third Recommended Dietary Allowances of protein, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron, Calcium and calories

We provide opportunities for youth to interact with the community in positive ways, and teach youth skills to help them with daily interactions. We believe that crime is an act against the victim and the community, and the offender is directly accountable to the victim, the community and themselves.
