1 Tax Assistance Project Information for Volunteers Legal Aid of North Carolina Willette M. Crews, Project Manager

2 The Objective TAP seeks to increase disposable income of low to moderate income citizens especially those eligible for EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit). Helping low-income families by preparing taxes brings money into our community and improves opportunities for all of us.

4 What will TAP do? 5 Requirements for Volunteers Each preparer much be certified in Tax Law by the Internal Revenue Service Each preparer much be certified in Tax Law by the Internal Revenue Service Trained in TaxWise Online software Trained in TaxWise Online software Prepare taxes at one or more Tuesday evening sessions Prepare taxes at one or more Tuesday evening sessions
