3. THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN Going to heaven should be our main goal in life. Jesus asked a question. Matt.16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

4. Going to heaven requires our part. Heb. 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” James 2:17 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

5. Going to heaven requires our part. I Pet. 1:22 “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.” Three steps one must take to heaven THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

6. I. STEP OUT OF SELF Most difficult step Mat. 16:24 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” II Cor. 8:5 “...but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

7. I. STEP OUT OF SELF Put off the old man & put on the new. Col.3:9-10 “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

8. I. STEP OUT OF SELF Trust God and not self Prov.3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thy own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

10. II. Step into Christ One must get into the body to be saved. Col. 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church...” II Tim. 2:10 ”...that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

11. II. Step into Christ One must get into the body to be saved. I John 5:11 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

12. II. Step into Christ Baptism is for the remission of sins Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins...” This puts one into Christ. THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

13. II. Step into Christ Rom. 6:3-4 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

14. II. Step into Christ Why is it important to be in Christ? I Cor. 15:24 “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

15. II. Step into Christ After stepping into Christ, must live for Him Rom. 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service..” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

16. II. Step into Christ After stepping into Christ, must live for Him Rom. 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

17. III. Step into Glory Final step in life – must die I Cor. 15:50 “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

18. III. Step into Glory Must die in the Lord! Rev. 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN

21. One’s whole life is to prepare for heaven. Judgment is going to be real! Unrighteous will be eternally lost Righteous will be eternally blessed Matt. 25:46 “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” THREE STEPS TO HEAVEN
