5 State-of-the-art: the digital document Digital documents are a set of pieces, linked by metadata and joined upon need. A multimodal book which includes text, sounds, and images designed for blind people, people with low vision or dyslexia, or textsound imagesvideo

11 Conclusions: A sustainable and accessible publishing workflow is possible and necessary Multichannel publishing benefits users and publishers. Convergence between open access and accessibility demands DTBook as the most suitable pivotal format for transformations “Yes, we can”: prototype demonstration benefitting repository holders, accessibility commissioners, and end-users.
