* This car seat cost around $95.00

* This stroller cost around $200.00

* 1.Sit upright and hold your baby against your chest. Your baby's chin should rest on your shoulder as you support the baby with one hand. With the other hand, gently pat your baby's back. Sitting in a rocking chair and gently rocking with your baby while you do this may also help. * 2.Hold your baby sitting up, in your lap or across your knee. Support your baby's chest and head with one hand by cradling your baby's chin in the palm of your hand and resting the heel of your hand on your baby's chest (but be careful to grip your baby's chin, not throat). Use the other hand to pat your baby's back gently. * 3.Lay your baby on your lap on his or her belly. Support your baby's head and make sure it's higher than his or her chest. Gently pat your baby's back.

* It isn't necessary to warm bottles of formula. Some babies will take the formula straight from the If you wish to warm the bottle, just hold it under hot running tap water. Then, shake it well to mix the formula, and test the formula to be sure it isn't too hot for the baby. Do not heat your baby's formula in a microwave oven. This method has too many potential dangers. * When you feed your baby, always hold your baby and the bottle -- never prop the bottle. Your baby shouldn't lie down and feed. The baby should always be semi-upright or sitting up. * The nipple hole should be large enough that the formula drips out at a steady pace of two drops per second. Regardless of whether you breastfeed or bottle-feed you will have to develop a feeding schedule for your baby.

* First of all you need to sit comfortably keeping your lap flat and back straight. * Bottom portion of your baby should rest on your elbow. * You must allow the head of your baby to tip back slightly and gently.. * To make your baby feel comfortable you may have to support your breast during breastfeeding. Baby would not feel comfortable if you are not. * You need to learn to feed in a proper way. If you feel that something is going wrong, stop and start over the procedure again

* Bottle-fed babies need to be fed less frequently since it is more difficult to digest. * If you are bottle feeding your baby, you know exactly how much milk your baby has had. * You do not need to be present each time the baby has to be fed; some other family member or friend can also feed the baby. * Your social life does not need to be curtailed. You can resume your normal life.

* Babies are immune to some diseases. * Bond between mother and baby are stronger * Breast milk is always available

Before you begin, gather a few supplies: 1.a diaper 2.fasteners (if you are using cloth diapers) 3.a container of warm water and cotton balls (for babies with sensitive skin) or a clean washcloth or diaper wipes 4.diaper ointment or petroleum jelly (for preventing and treating rashes) 5.a changing pad or cloth diaper for placing under your baby

* First, lift her legs with one hand and remove any poop with a wet washcloth. (Many new moms use baby wipes on their newborns with no problem. * If your child's skin reacts to the chemicals in wipes, you can use a washcloth or cotton balls and plain water when cleaning baby's derriere during the first few weeks.) * Using one area of the cloth at a time, clean inside all the creases, wiping downward. * To clean the genital area, wipe from the vagina toward the rectum. Do not pull the labia back to clean inside. Dry the area with a soft cloth. * Apply ointment around the genitals and on the buttocks to prevent diaper rash.

* One big difference for boys: Don't leave the penis exposed -- keep it covered with a diaper or you may get sprayed. * Clean under the testicles, gently pushing them out of the way. * Wipe under the penis and over the testicles, toward the rectum. * If he's uncircumcised, do not attempt to pull back the foreskin. * Dry the area with a soft cloth. * Apply ointment around the genitals and on the buttocks to prevent diaper rash.

Advantage -convenience Disadvantages -expensive -contain harmful chemicals (chlorine, etc.) -environmentally unfriendly -not really that convenient because you keep having to run to the store to buy more

* Is instinctive, automatic responses, such as grasping, sneezing or sucking in infants

* This reflex begins when the corner of the baby's mouth is stroked or touched. The baby will turn his/her head and open his/her mouth to follow and "root" in the direction of the stroking. This helps the baby find the breast or bottle to begin feeding.

* Is when an infant holds an item such as a crayon with the palm of their hand, where as the pincer grasp is where they hold it between their thumb and index finger.

* The Moro reflex is often called a startle reflex because it usually occurs when a baby is startled by a loud sound or movement. In response to the sound, the baby throws back his/her head, extends out the arms and legs, cries, then pulls the arms and legs back in. A baby's own cry can startle him/her and begin this reflex. This reflex lasts about five to six months.

* When the sole of the foot is firmly stroked, the big toe bends back toward the top of the foot and the other toes fan out. This is a normal reflex up to about 2 years of age.

* This reflex is also called the walking or dance reflex because a baby appears to take steps or dance when held upright with his/her feet touching a solid surface.

* Failure to thrive * Symptoms include: * Lack of weight gain and height growth * Cause can be: * Malnutrition

* Sudden death syndrome * To prevent this you should : * Place infants on their back for sleep * Provide a firm crib by covered by a sheet * Keep soft materials, such as comforters, pillows, and stuffed toys out of the crib

* This toy makes sound when it is squished so it causes the baby to squish the toy every time the baby wants it to make noise.

o This toy is an example of fine motor skills because the baby is grasping it

* This toy is an example of self aware skills because it has a mirror and the baby also enjoys playing with it

* Function is organizing sensory input, auditory perception, language and speech production, as well as memory association and formation. * Location :The temporal lobe is located along the sides of your brain.

* It is located at the back portion of the brain * The primary function of the occipital lobe is controlling vision and visual processing.
