20 Program Successes Peoria Bands have received: Peoria Band Directors are: “Best Band” at the City of Glendale Holiday Parade Excellent ratings at the NAU Jazz Festival Excellent ratings at Arizona Band and Orchestra Directors Association concert festivals (ABODA) Superior with Distinction at the State Jazz band qualifiers High school and Elementary Jazz bands have received Excellent ratings Many of our band programs continue to grow larger each year Pride of Peoria Winners Kellis Leadership recipients ABODA Board members ABODA judges and Clinicians Adjunct instructors Summer Community Directors

21 The Everyday Impact More than 14,000 students in the Peoria Unified School District have a Music Education experience each week There are correlations to how Music education positively impacts student achievement in the classroom The benefits of a Music education extends beyond a students time in K-12 education
