4 Technology for Reading  There are many types of technology available to help students with dyslexia read!  Audio tape recorded books – Students can read books recorded on audio, using their ears rather than eyes.  Text to speech voice synthesis- Students use voice synthesis and screen reader software, students read words, sentences and passages by having the computer speak text aloud.

5 Technology for Reading Reading Assistance – The student directs the computer where to read, what to read, when to read or reread, to pause and to stop. This type of technology is now used on the standardized testing students must take.
