2 Outreach Techniques: Marketing Strategies This presentation will explore various marketing strategies currently being utilized by CPGTSP providers as a method to welcoming Problem Gamblers as well as Affected Individuals into treatment.

3 Outreach Techniques: Marketing Strategies Focused Learning: – Name 3 marketing strategies presented today which you can successfully utilize this week. – Identify marketing strategies that specifically target the Affected Individuals. – Understanding that YOU are the key to being successful, and that networking in your communities is important.

4 What I Currently Do Connect w/Prospective Clients ASAP!! —Return phone calls or emails immediately!! Your Website – – It is a great tool!! – Have your website reflect who you are and list all the services you provide, including your status as a CPGTSP provider. Highlight FREE sessions are available! – Keywords: gambler, problem gambler, gambling services, gambling help…

5 What I Currently Do Networking - The BEST Way to Reach Out – Get out of your office to meet and greet, EVERYONE! – Explain that those who love the problem gambler can also receive support – this is key! – Personally make contact with ALL the people in your community, people who provide a service or not: Attorneys, Doctors, Clergy, Store clerks, Restaurant servers, auto mechanics, hair dressers, nail salons – EVERYONE you meet! – Peers/colleagues: We all have strengths to share! – Word of Mouth: Happy clients like to tell others! Clients talk about how WE can help others.

6 Other ideas… Attend GAM-Anon as an observer Attend GA as an observer Lecture at religious centers, schools, community events… Advertise in local papers, religious center newsletters, hang fliers… Go to local businesses and hand out brochures, business cards, fliers…
