2 Chapter 4 – More built-in function In this chapter, we are going to discover more built-in functions in excel such as Maximum, Minimum, and Sorting.

3 Built-in Functions You can simply to click the icon next to the formula box to bring out the formula dialog box. In the formulas dialog box, you can choose a function by clicking an icon.

4 Step 1: Select the cell B11. Step 2: Click the button next to the formula box. Step 3: Choose the “MAX” in the function dialog box. Step 4: Select the cells to be compared with, e.g. (B4:B8), and then press the enter. Built-in Function – Maximum Step 1 Step 2 Step 4

6 In-class Exercise 1: Instructions: 1.Download the file from the school website to your memory stick shown in figure 5.1 below and save the filename as “ch5ex1”. 2. Use built-in function to find the “Maximum” and “Minimum” score in the subjects of Assessment 1. Figure 5.1
