4  The cabins hold 14 people total. That will be 12 students and 2 adults.  Some have bathrooms in the cabins- some with a bath house.  Bunk beds  Students will be assigned KP cleanup and bath house cleanup according to cabin.  No flashlights!

5  No electronics with students. 6  Sample schedule:  7:00 AM Wake up bell  7:45 AM Breakfast KP reports  8:00-8:30 AM Breakfast  8:45-10:15 AM Class  10:15 – 10:30 AM break and journaling  10:30 – 12:00 PM Class  12:15 PM - Lunch KP reports  12:30-1:00 PM Lunch  1:30 – 3:00 PM Class  3:00 – 3:15 PM break and journaling  3:15 – 4:45 PM Class  5:00 PM Dinner KP reports  5:15 – 5:45 PM Dinner  6:15 – 7:15 PM Class  7:15 – 8:00 PM Class  9:00 PM Lights out

7  What to pack  Sleeping bag or twin sheets & pillow (No linens or pillows provided)  Towels & washcloths  Toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)  Bag or basket to carry supplies from the cabin to the bathhouse  Daily change of clothing (Some days you may need two)  Old shirts & jeans  Jacket or sweatshirt (for cool mornings and nights)  Rain gear (classes continue regardless of the weather)  Shoes (Some to keep dry and some that can get wet): Note: Wearing wet socks, shoes or sandals all day causes blisters.  Sun block  Plastic garbage bags marked with the owner’s name (for wet clothes)  Water bottle Note: Label clothing and personal items.  What not to pack  Chewing gum  Flip-flops or any sandals without a heel strap (except for showering)  New or nice clothing  Electronics, cell phones, iPods, etc.  Skate boards, roller blades, bicycles, etc.  Other items of high value Note: Wahsega 4-H Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

8  If your child will carry and administer his/her own Inhaler, Epipen, or Insulin, please complete the ‘Authorization to Carry Prescription Medication’ JGCD-10.  Over the counter items that your child is allowed to carry are cough drops/throat lozenges with the proper form completed (‘Authorization to Carry Over The Counter Medication’ JGCD-7).  Medication for ADHD, these are considered ‘controlled substances’. In addition to the JGCD-2 form, you will need to complete a JGCD-4 form showing how many pills/patches you have provided for the trip.  Please complete one form (Authorization to Give Medication JGCD-2) for each medication your child will be taking along on the field trip. Your child’s teacher must have a completed form, for each medication, in order to be allowed to administer the medication to your child. No diet pills, vitamins, dietary supplements, including minerals or herbs will be given. A doctor’s note is required if you plan to send adult strength medication for your child. Please only send the number of pills that will be needed for the trip.
